Objectives

  • Understand classification, role and limits of main product families (detergents, detergent-disinfectants, strippers, descalers, disinfectants, floor / glass / sanitary / kitchen cleaners)
  • Read and interpret a CLP label and SDS for safe use
  • Master storage rules, secondary labelling, traceability and incompatibility management
  • Perform dilutions and dosing (scales, pumps, dilution systems, pictograms)
  • Prevent risks (health, fire safety, environment: PPE, ventilation, discharges)
  • Select the right product depending on soil type, surface, expected hygiene level
  • Reduce environmental impact (eco‑usage, consumption reduction, alternatives)

Syllabus

  • Regulatory framework (Labour code, CLP, SDS, biocides order)
  • Terminology, chemical families, pH, surfactant action
  • Guided reading of label & Safety Data Sheet (key sections)
  • Hazard pictograms, H statements and P advice: practical decoding
  • Frequent incompatibilities (bleach / acids, quaternary ammoniums, etc.)
  • Secure storage, cabinet organization, secondary labelling
  • Dilution calculations: formulae, factors, tools (tables, bag‑in‑box, dosing units)
  • Prevention: appropriate PPE, ventilation, ergonomics, first aid
  • Environment: correct dosing, discharge limitation, eco‑labels selection
  • Application procedures (floors, high surfaces, sanitary, food areas) and workflow order
  • Traceability & records (cleaning plans, logs, batch tracking)
